Sakyamuni, also known as Gautama, was a spiritual teacher from ancient India and the founder of Buddhism. He is generally recognized by Buddhists as the Supreme Buddha (Sammasambuddha) of our age. Amongst Buddha’s teachings are: all things are impermanent; the perception of a constant “self ” is an illusion; all beings suffer due to unclear mind.
